When you use our Services, you entrust us with your data. We understand this is a big responsibility and we work hard to protect your information and put you in control.
This privacy policy describes how Tap.fy collects, uses and discloses information and what choices you have with regard to the information. We are required by law to make this public, however, we do this mainly because we like to be transparent about how we collect and use your data.

When we refer to "Tap.fyi", we mean the Tap.fyi entity that acts as the controller or processor of information, as explained in more detail in the "Identification of the Data Controller and Processor" section below.
Definitions. All capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Agreement, unless otherwise defined or stated herein.
Applicability of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Tap.fyi online productivity tools, the Tap.fyi Account, including associated Tap.fyi mobile and desktop applications (collectively, the "Services"), http://tap.fyi, and other Tap.fyi websites (collectively, the "Websites"). ") and other interactions (e.g. support requests, our web chat, job applications, callback requests through the Websites, etc.) you may have with Tap.fyi.
If you do not agree to the terms, you may not access or use the Services and Websites or provide any information to Tap.fyi at all.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party applications or software integrated with the Services through the Tap.fyi platform ("Third Party Services"), or other third-party products, services, or companies.
In addition, a separate agreement governs the provision, access and use of the Services (the “Terms of Service”), including the processing of messages, files or other content submitted through Services (collectively, “Customer Data”).
Information we collect and receive
Tap.fyi may collect and receive Customer Data and other information and data (“Other Information”) in a variety of ways:
- Customer data. Customer or individuals (collectively, “Authorized Users”) who have created a Account routinely submit Customer Data to Tap.fyi when using the Services.
- Other information. Tap.fyi also collects, generates and/or receives other information:
- Account and account information. To create, update and/or log in to a Account, you provide Tap.fyi with an email address, phone number, password, domain and/or similar account information. In addition, customers who purchase a paid version of the Services provide Tap.fyi (or its payment processors) with billing information such as credit card information, banking information, and/or a billing address.

- Service metadata. When an Authorized User interacts with the Services, metadata is generated that provides additional context about how Authorized Users operate. For example, Tap.fyi records the Accounts, channels, users, features, content and links you view or use, the types of files shared and what third-party services are used (if any).
- Log data. As with most websites and technology services provided over the Internet, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our Websites or Services and record it in log files. This Log Data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the address of the web page visited before using the Website or Services, the browser type and settings, the date and time the Services were used, browser configuration information, plug -ins, language preferences and cookie data.
- Device information. Tap.fyi collects information about devices accessing the Services, including device type, what operating system is being used, device settings, application IDs, unique device IDs, and crash data. Whether we collect some or all of this Other Information often depends on the type of device used and its settings.
- Location information. We receive information from you, your customer and other third parties (such as Google Maps) that help us estimate your location. For example, we may use a business address provided by your employer or an IP address provided by your browser or device to determine your approximate location. Tap.fyi may also collect location information from devices in accordance with the consent process provided by your device.
- Cookie information. Tap.fyi uses a variety of cookies and similar technologies in our websites and Services to help us collect other information. For more information about how we use these technologies, please see our Cookie Policy.
- Third Party Services. A Customer can choose to allow or restrict Third Party Services in their Account. Third Party Services generally consist of software that integrates with our Services, and a Customer can enable or disable these integrations on their Account. Tap.fyi may also develop and offer Tap.fyi applications that connect the Services to a Third Party Services. Once enabled, the provider of a Third Party Service may share certain information with Tap.fyi. Authorized Users should check the privacy settings and notices in these third-party services to understand what information may be disclosed to Tap.fyi. When a third-party service is enabled, Tap.fyi is authorized to connect and access other information made available to Tap.fyi in accordance with our agreement with the third-party provider and any permission(s) granted by the customer (including by its authorized user(s)). However, we do not receive or store passwords for these Third Party Services when we connect them to the Services.
- Contact details. In accordance with your device's consent process or other third-party API, any contact information that an Authorized User chooses to import (such as a device address book or API) is collected when using the Services.
- Third Party Data. Tap.fyi may receive information about organizations, industries, customer lists, website visitors, marketing campaigns, and other things related to our business from parent(s), affiliates and subsidiaries, our partners, or others that we use to conduct our to use your information to make our services more useful. This data may be combined with other information we collect and may include aggregate-level data, such as which IP addresses correspond to zip codes or countries. Or it can be more specific: for example, how well an online marketing or email campaign performed.
- Additional information provided to Tap.fyi. We also receive other information when submitted to our websites or in other ways, such as if you participate in a focus group, contest, activity or event, enroll in a certification program or other educational program organized by Tap.fyi or a vendor , request support, communicate with our social media accounts or otherwise communicate with Tap.fyi.
In general, no one is legally or contractually obligated to provide Customer Data or other information (collectively, "Information"). However, certain information is collected automatically and if certain information is not provided, we may not be able to provide the Services.
How we use information
Customer Data and Information will be used by Tap.fyi in accordance with Customer's instructions, including all applicable terms in the Terms of Service and as required by applicable law. Tap.fyi is a processor of Customer Data and Information, the customer is the controller. For example, Customer may use the Services to grant and remove access to a Account, assign roles and configure settings, access, modify, export, share and delete Customer Data and otherwise apply its policies to the Services.
Tap.fyi uses other information to further our legitimate interests in operating our Services, Websites and business. More specifically, Tap.fyi uses Other Information:
- To operate, update, maintain and protect our Services, Websites and our business. This includes using other information to support the provision of the Services under a customer agreement, prevent or address service errors, security or technical issues, track usage, trends and other activities
- As required by applicable law, legal process or regulation.
- To communicate with you by responding to your requests, comments and questions. If you contact us, we may use your Other Information and/or Customer Data to respond.
- Developing and offering search, learning and productivity tools and additional features. Tap.fyi tries to make the Services as useful as possible for The Customer. For example, we may improve search functionality by using other information to help determine and rank the relevance of content, channels, or expertise to an authorized user, make suggestions for Services or Third Party Services based on historical usage and predictive modeling, or organizational identify trends and insights to customize a Services experience or create new productivity features and products.
- To send emails and other communications. We may send you service, technical and other administrative emails, messages and other types of communications. We may also contact you to inform you about changes to our Services, our Services offerings, and important Services-related notices, such as security and fraud notices. These communications are considered part of the Services and you cannot opt out. In addition, we sometimes send emails about new product features, promotional communications or other news about Tap.fyi. These are marketing messages, so you can decide whether or not you wish to receive them. If you have any questions about a message you received from Tap.fyi, please reach out using the contact options described below.
- For invoicing, account management and other administrative matters. Tap.fyi may need to contact you for billing, account management and similar reasons and we use account information to manage accounts and track billing and payments.
- To investigate and help prevent security issues and abuse.
If information is aggregated or anonymized so that it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, Tap.fyi may use it for any business purpose. To the extent that information is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person and is protected as personal data under applicable data protection laws, it is referred to in this privacy policy as “Personal Data”.
Data retention
Tap.fyi will retain Customer Data in accordance with a Customer's instructions, including any applicable terms in the Customer Agreement and Customer's use of the Services, and as required by applicable law. Depending on the subscription to the Services, Customer may customize its retention settings and apply those customized settings at Account or other level. Customer can also apply other settings to messages, files or other types of Customer Data. Customer's deletion of Customer Data and other uses of the Services may result in the deletion and/or de-identification of certain associated Other Information. Please refer to the Help Center or contact the Customer who granted you access for more information.
Tap.fyi may retain other information about you for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This may include Tap.fyi retaining your Other Information after you deactivate your account for the period necessary for Tap.fyi to pursue legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with (and demonstrate compliance with) to) legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
How we share and disclose information
Below we describe how Tap.fyi may share and disclose information, as described in the section titled “Information we collect and receive” above. Customers determine their own policies and practices for sharing and disclosing information. Tap.fyi does not control how they or any other third parties choose to share or disclose Information.
- The Customer's instructions. Tap.fyi may share and disclose information in accordance with a Customer's instructions and with appropriate consent, including all applicable terms in the Terms of Service and Customer's use of the Services and inreenstemming met de toepasselijke wetgeving en juridische procedures.
- Collaborate with others. The Services provide End User Accounts and Authorized Users with various ways to collaborate. Information, such as an Authorized User's Account information, may be shared subject to the policies and practices of the other Accounts.
- External service providers. We may engage third party companies or individuals as service providers or business partners to process information and support our business. For example, these third parties may provide virtual computing and storage services, or we may share business information to develop strategic partnerships with third-party service providers to support our customers.
- Third Party Services. The Customer may allow Third Party Services to be enabled. We require any third-party service to disclose any permissions to access information in the Services, but we cannot guarantee that they will do so. When enabled, Tap.fyi may share information with third-party services. Third Party Services are not owned or controlled by Tap.fyi and third parties given access to Information may have their own policies and practices for collection, use and sharing. Please review the permissions, privacy settings, and notices for these third-party services, or contact the provider if you have any questions.
- Forums. The information you provide in a community forum, including personal information, is publicly available.
- Cororate affiliates. Tap.fyi may share Information with its affiliates, parents and/or subsidiaries.
- During a change in Tap.fyi's business. If Tap.fyi is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, sale of some or all of Tap.fyi's assets or stock, financing, public offering of securities, any similar transaction or proceeding or steps in considering any such activities, some or all information may be shared or transferred, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.
- Aggregated or anonymized data. We may disclose or use aggregated or de-identified information for any purpose. For example, we may share aggregated or anonymized information with prospects or partners for business or research.
- To comply with applicable laws. If we receive a request for information, we may disclose information if we reasonably believe that disclosure is consistent with or required by applicable law, regulation or legal process.
- To enforce our rights, prevent fraud and for security. To protect and defend the rights, property or safety of Tap.fyi, its users or third parties, including the enforcement of its contracts or policies, or in connection with investigating and preventing illegal activities, fraud or security issues, including of death or imminent bodily harm.
- With permission. Tap.fyi may share information with third parties if we have permission to do so.
How long does Tap.fyi store my (personal) data?
Unless the law requires or justifies a longer retention period, we never store your personal data longer than is necessary to achieve the intended purposes.
Security
Tap.fyi takes data security very seriously. Tap.fyi works hard to protect information you provide from loss, misuse and unauthorized access or disclosure. Taking into account the sensitivity of the information we collect, process and store, and the current state of technology. For more information about the current practices and policies regarding security and confidentiality of the Services. Given the nature of communications and information processing technology, Tap.fyi cannot guarantee that information while transmitted over the Internet or stored on our systems or otherwise in our care will be absolutely secure from intrusion by others. When you click on a link to a third party site, you leave our site and we do not control or endorse what is on third party sites.
Age restrictions
To the extent prohibited by applicable law, Tap.fyi does not permit the use of our Services and Websites by anyone under the age of 18. If you discover that someone under the age of 18 has unlawfully provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Tap.fyi may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Laws, regulations and industry standards evolve, which may require those changes, or we may make changes to our services or our business. We will post the changes on this page and we encourage you to read our Privacy Policy to stay informed. If we make changes that materially change your privacy rights, Tap.fyi will notify you, for example by email or through the Services. If you do not agree with the changes to this Privacy Policy, you must deactivate your Services account. If you wish to request the deletion of your Personal Data as an Authorized User under their control, please contact the Customer.
International data transfer
Tap.fyi may transfer your Personal Data to countries other than your country of residence. To the extent Personal Data is transferred abroad, Tap.fyi will ensure that the requirements of applicable law in the relevant jurisdiction are met in accordance with Tap.fyi's obligations.
Your rights
Individuals around the world, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Brazil, have certain legal rights in relation to their personal information.
If your personal data is processed by Tap.fyi, you have at least the following rights vis-à-vis us, subject to any exceptions provided by law:
- Right to access the personal data we hold about you. We are always willing to provide you with a clear and complete overview of the personal data we have collected about you so far.
- Right to rectification, completion or update of your personal data. Are you a user of our tool and/or app? Then we would like to point out that you are primarily responsible for making the necessary adjustments to your Account.
- Right to be forgotten. If you delete or have deleted certain necessary personal data, it is possible that certain Services will no longer be accessible or can no longer be provided. It is possible that a legal obligation or the execution of our agreement with you does not allow us to delete certain personal information. For example, we are legally obliged to keep invoices for a period of seven years (and sometimes longer).
- Right to restriction of the processing of your personal data. It may happen that we are temporarily no longer allowed to use your data, but also cannot delete it (yet). This can occur, for example, if you object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest as a company. As long as we cannot demonstrate that our interests outweigh your individual interests, we are not allowed to use your data.
- Right to withdraw your consent. If we process your personal data on the basis of your permission, you can always withdraw that permission at a later time.
- Right to portability of your personal data. You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form. In addition, you have the right to ask us to transfer this personal data to another service provider, unless this is technically impossible.
- Right to object/oppose the processing of your personal data. You have the option at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for our 'direct marketing' purposes (e.g. by adjusting your communication preferences), if these are based on our legitimate interest as a company.
You can usually exercise the above rights using the settings and tools in your Services account. If, as an Authorized User, you are unable to use the settings and tools, please contact the customer managing your Workspace for additional access and assistance.
You can also exercise your privacy rights free of charge by contacting us at dpo@tap.fyi. We will reply as soon as possible - no later than one month after we have received your request.
Do you want to exercise your right of access, right to rectification, right to deletion or right to portability? Then we are forced to verify your identity first. This is to prevent us from disclosing personal information without making sure it is you. For that reason, we at least ask that you send us a copy of the front of your identity card. If we have reasons to doubt your identity, we may request additional information for confirmation.
Identification of the data controller and processor
Data protection laws in certain jurisdictions distinguish between the 'controller' and the 'processor' of Other Information. In general, Customer is the controller of Customer Data directly to Tap.fyi. In general, Tap.fyi is the processor of customer data and the controller of Other Information.
